It was a few weeks ago, Dayana Yastremska won the 2019 edition. But do you know well this player?
Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Dayana Yastremska started to play tennis at the age of 5. It was in 2015 that her professional career began on ITF tournaments.
In 2018, the young Ukrainian had her best season ever, reaching 60th place for her first time in the Top 100 and winning her first WTA title in Hong Kong. Nevertheless, Dayana didn't stop there, and redoubled her efforts to win two new WTA titles this year (Hua Hin and Strasbourg) as well as the best career ranking after her victory at #IS19 (world #32).
Dayana Yastremska, 19, is now 35th in the world and intends to aim for the top spot quickly.
