Current events bring us face to face with the reality that, while one part of the planet is suffocating and cruelly short of water, another is underwater. Today, more than ever, it's essential that we all play our part in reducing our environmental impact and contributing to a sustainable future. That's why, in 2010, the WTA Strasbourg Tournament<\/strong>, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION<\/strong> are committed to a voluntary approach to sustainable development<\/mark>,<\/strong> positioning itself as the precursors<\/strong><\/mark> in the organization of an sustainable sports event.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conscients que la r\u00e9duction d\u2019impact passe par une gestion globale, les Internationaux de Strasbourg, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION ont travaill\u00e9 ces 14 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es sur des actions transversales, et ce dans une logique d\u2019am\u00e9lioration continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how, by taking on put sustainability at the heart of its strategy,<\/mark><\/strong> que les IS, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION ont gagn\u00e9 en prestige et obtiennent \u00e0 ce jour le statut de 1st<\/sup> French sustainable sports event and worldwide recognition as a \"Green\u201d reference in tennis.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The most recent carbon audit showed that there has been a 60% reduction in emissions per spectator between 2010 and 2023,<\/mark><\/strong> r\u00e9sultat encourageant et possible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une strat\u00e9gie de r\u00e9duction d\u2019impact port\u00e9e par tous les acteurs des Internationaux de Strasbourg, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aujourd\u2019hui, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des plus grands \u00e9v\u00e9nements sportifs mondiaux, les Internationaux de Strasbourg, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION ont le souhait d\u2019intensify their engagements<\/mark><\/strong> as well as the means used, and it is in this sense that they deploy their ethical charter<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This charter is the starting point for a more ambitious strategy for the coming years, in favor of a more sustainable future. Its aim is to reaffirm the values of the tournament, and to formalize and guide future actions. It is also intended to inspire collective action, so that all our stakeholders (the public, the organization, volunteers, players, service providers, partners, local authorities, etc.) play their part in building a sustainable future. In this sense, the charter will be regularly shared and enriched to adapt to changes in our environment and to new obstacles. The IS ethical charter will thus become our common compass. <\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par cette d\u00e9marche \u00e9coresponsable, en 2016, les Internationaux de Strasbourg, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION se sont vus remettre par le CNOSF (Comit\u00e9 National Olympique et Sportif Fran\u00e7ais) the label \"D\u00e9veloppement Durable, le Sport s'Engage\".<\/mark><\/strong> In June 2022, at the Ecosport Awards ceremony, the IS received the award for the most committed sporting event of the year.<\/mark> <\/strong>Ce prix, d\u00e9cern\u00e9 par la Commission \u00ab D\u00e9veloppement Durable de l\u2019Union Sport et Cycle r\u00e9compense l\u2019ensemble des actions environnementales mises en place par les Internationaux de Strasbourg, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION depuis une douzaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les Internationaux de Strasbourg, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION font partie des grands \u00e9v\u00e9nements sportifs signatories of the \u201cCharter of 15 eco-responsible commitments\u201d of the French Ministry of Sports and WWF.<\/mark> <\/strong>These agreements target 15 quantified objectives designed to make respect for the environment an essential criterion in the organization of major sporting events and the management of sports facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CARBON OFFSETTING OF RESIDUAL TRACE<\/mark><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Depuis 2021, les IS, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION financent, avec le soutien de la Engie Fondation,<\/strong><\/mark> a carbon contribution project, certified by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition's Low-Carbon label<\/mark><\/strong>, label guaranteeing this system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This funding was used for a reforestation project in two of our Alsatian forests, located in Mollkirch and Andlau respectively.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These had been destroyed by bark beetle attacks and each year suffer the consequences of climate change: drought, water stress, premature death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce projet de compensation carbone place les Internationaux de Strasbourg, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par MAMMOTION comme<\/strong> the<\/strong> 1st<\/sup> carbon-neutral tennis tournament on the professional circuit.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n
