The 2013 Edition

A fabulous line-up of top-notch athletes

During the 2013 finals, Alizé Cornet dominated the scene.  By putting tennis, women and the environment all together in the spotlight, the 2013 edition attracted a particularly high caliber of athletes, including 5 players ranked among the world’s Top 50. The french player Alizé Cornet took this opportunity to add her name to the winner’s list at the 2013 Internationaux de Strasbourg.  After a thrilling battle against Lucie Hradecké , the french superstar prevailed. The Canadian and italian players, Eugénie Bouchard and Flavia Pennetta, also offered the tennis fans in the audience exemplary performances. This year promises to be equally impressive!

Ever more exciting activities

As in 2012, some 18,000 spectators came to watch this pivotal week-long sporting event. And to keep everyone entertained between matches, there were also many activities, including  "Play against a champion" game, mini-tennis for kids, meet and greets with the players, handisport demonstrations, evening with the stars under the stars featuring all the players and Afterwork cocktails just to mention a few!  This year took place the first I.S. party with Rock concerts, cocktails and DJs, extending the experience beyond the tennis courts.

Premium quality organizational infrastructures and a VIP Partner’s Village that’s ideal for boosting public relations

Ever since 2011, the I.S. tournament has been held at the very foot of Europe’s political and legislative hub. Parliament overlooks the exquisite Tennis Club de Strasbourg where the world’s finest tennis players go head to head for a week of breathtaking matches. This relatively new venue provides a particularly prestigious setting and premium quality infrastructures, bolstering the event’s appeal. The Partners Village was naturally a big hit, attracting and entertaining an ever greater number of VIPs all week long. It has become a prime meeting place where the business world’s movers and shakers get together and exchange thoughts amidst the incomparable spirit of sports.

A firm commitment to environmental protection

Our eco-friendly initiatives, leading up to and during the 2012 tournament, enabled us to reduce CO2 emissions (from 12.9 kg eq. per spectator in 2011 to 12.9 in 2012). An official carbon report was issued for the third consecutive year to monitor emissions and document our progress. An elaborate awareness-building campaign made a significant impact on all those involved in the event (players, partners, suppliers and spectators).
